The schools of Le Havre are gradually adapting to periods of great heat, after the episodes of May and June 2026. The town hall proposes first answers and launches a reflection
After the war, the Havre schools were badly resisted by the hot weather. On August 19, 2026, Mayor Édouard Philippe was visiting summer construction sites for the renovation, accessibility and vegetation of schools. The frequency of heat waves already required new investments. A plan to adapt the schools to the heat will be presented as early as September 2nd in front of all the elected representatives of the city.
