- Xiaomi launched the Redmi 17 5G and Redmi 17 4G in Malaysia, available now through the official website, with the 5G model starting at MYR 769 and the 4G variant at MYR 669.
- Both handsets feature a 6.9-Inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering peak brightness up to 825 nits and Corning Gorilla Glass protection with Rheinland certifications for visual comfort.
- The 5G version utilizes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset with up to 256GB UFS storage, whereas the 4G edition runs on a MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra with 128GB.
- Both phones pack a 7,500mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging and run HyperOS, sharing a 50MP rear camera and 8MP front lens capable of shooting video at up to 1080p.
- Measuring 8.8mm thick, the devices include an IP64 rating and a 3.5mm headphone jack, with the 5G model available in Black, Deep Blue, and Vivid Orange, while the 4G version adds Lotus Purple and Oak Green.
