New Fauci Diaries Reveal He Wanted ‘Bizarre’ Trump Impeached
The release adds 203 pages of entries that show Fauci privately called Trump unpresidential and questioned vaccine trial design, officials said.
- On Wednesday, Senator Rand Paul released a collection of private diary entries written by Dr. Anthony Fauci spanning 2015 through 2019, with Paul's office claiming the records reveal repeated disparagement of President Donald Trump.
- The entries document Fauci's private frustrations during the Obama and Trump administrations, including writing in January 2019 that Trump "should be impeached" and describing White House staff as "a scary bunch."
- Private notes also show Fauci privately described a 2015 Ebola vaccine trial as "terribly flawed study design" while publicly praising it, and records detail his meetings with Chinese officials regarding genetics research.
- The release is part of a broader investigation by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which approved a contempt resolution after Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times during testimony.
- Democrats on the committee criticized the investigation as one-sided, though Fauci could still face legal exposure despite holding a federal pardon covering conduct through January 19, 2025.
