The 32-year-old defenseman ends his career with 85 goals and 261 points after 13 seasons, including a 2020 King Clancy Memorial Trophy.
Defenseman Mathew Dumba officially announced his retirement from the NHL on Friday, ending his 13-season career, the NHL Players Association confirmed.
Dumba played 13 seasons across five teams—the Minnesota Wild, Arizona Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning, Dallas Stars, and Pittsburgh Penguins—after being selected in the 2012 NHL Draft.
The 32-year-old finished with 85 goals and 261 points in 748 games, while recording five goals and 10 assists in 54 playoff games and winning the 2020 King Clancy Memorial Trophy.
During his final season, Dumba played 11 games with the Penguins, recording one goal and two assists while spending much of that time with the Penguins' AHL affiliate in Wilkes-Barr.
Dumba leaves a lasting impact on the league, having established himself as a leader on and off the ice throughout his 13-season tenure with humanitarian and on-ice contributions.
