Marit van Egmond leaves as CEO of Albert Heijn, Arnhem-based pin machine pioneer in American hands
Albert Heijn must look for a new director: Marit van Egmond is leaving, after six years in the top position. In addition, she was ultimately responsible for drugstore chain Etos and the liquor stores of Gall & Gall. Furthermore: CCV, the Arnhem payment processor, is being acquired by its American industry peer Fiserv.

Marit van Egmond, the top woman of Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall, will resign at the end of April. Van Egmond became chairman of the supermarket group in 2019 and also became ultimately responsible for drugstore chain Etos and liquor store chain Gall & Gall in 2021.
