HLA Protein Technologies’ New NCI License Speeds TCR Immunotherapy and Oncology Discovery
The internal-use license gives HLA Protein Technologies access to engineered T-cell receptor cell lines and HLA tools to speed immunotherapy development.
On Tuesday, HLA Protein Technologies secured an internal use license from the National Cancer Institute , covering advanced T-cell receptor compositions and research methods for immunotherapy and oncology research.
Formerly known as Pure Protein, LLC, HLA Protein Technologies provides soluble, natively folded recombinant HLA proteins with more than 25 years of expertise supporting research across over 20 countries.
Chief Scientific Officer Rico Buchli said the license reflects the firm's commitment to "delivering best-in-class HLA and tetramer products," helping biopharma accelerate next-generation immunotherapy development for cancer.
Under the license, the company gains access to cell lines engineered to express clinically relevant T-cell receptors, driving portfolio expansion and manufacturing activities at its Oklahoma City headquarters.
Director Michelle Gregory of Life Science Oklahoma stated the license "underscores the innovative spirit of Oklahoma's life sciences sector," aligning with efforts to expand USA-based life sciences manufacturing.
