Since 2021 the number of flights has increased, with 6.9 million commercial flights taking place in the European Union in 2025. The airport with the largest number of commercial flights was that of Amsterdam.

The number of flights has increased since 2021 and, in 2025, returned to a level similar to that recorded before the Covid-19 pandemic of 7.0 million in 2019.
Trade flights registered in the European Union (EU) increased by 3.8 per cent in 2025 to 6.9 million compared to the previous year (6.7 million), today reports Eurostat.
