French President Emmanuel Macron will travel to London on Wednesday to inaugurate an exhibition at the British Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry, the 11th-century work depicting William the Conqueror's conquest of England, the Elysée said on Friday.
The work arrived on July 10 at the famous London museum for a one-year loan decided in July 2025. It will be exhibited there from September to July 11, 2027.
