The 2026 inflation forecast climbed to 28.4%, a massive deviation of 12.4 percentage points, while civil servant salaries once again lagged behind inflation. With growth targets declining, experts emphasize that these targets will be hampered by the election atmosphere.
Vice President Yılmaz: "We expect the inflation rate to fall again in the last quarter of 2026 and to be 28.4 percent at the end of the year."
