The police arrested 38 people on Sunday after Extinction Rebellion once again blocked the A12 in The Hague without prior notice. Six activists are suspected of endangering traffic. The remaining 32 were arrested for failing to comply with an instruction under the Public Demonstrations Act (Wom).

Extinction Rebellion (XR) activists blocked the A12 again on Sunday afternoon. Dozens of demonstrators walked onto the Utrechtsebaan and occupied the road surface. The highway was reopened to traffic around 2:30 p.m.
