Cathay Pacific Crew Members Mistakenly Selected a Radio Frequency, Leading to Interception by NATO Fighter Jets.

In an investigation report released on Friday (August 14), the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department stated that Cathay Pacific crew members misheard instructions from air traffic controllers to another flight and tuned to the wrong radio band (frequency), causing the flight to briefly lose contact over Romania.
