World Bank raises Africa's 2026 growth forecast, urges AI investments
In the October Africa Economic Update report, the World Bank forecasts that sub-Saharan Africa's growth will increase from 4.1% in 2025 to 4.3% in 2026, a high-level review of 0.3 percentage points compared to the April issue, with the revised high-level forecasts for 35 of the region's 47 countries, including Angola, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Zambia.
