Who Won 'Big Brother 28'? Season Finale Live Updates
Devens won the jury vote 6-1 and added $50,000 for being named America’s Favorite houseguest.
On Thursday, October 1, Survivor icon Rick Devens won Big Brother 28 in a 6-1 jury vote, securing the $750,000 grand prize and becoming the first Survivor player to win the CBS competition.
After winning the third part of the final Head of Household competition, Devens chose to evict Drew Campbell, leaving Taylor Brown as the runner-up to face the jury vote.
Beyond the grand prize, Devens earned $50,000 as "America's Favorite Houseguest" and $10,000 from the "Pharaoh Curse" twist, bringing his total to $810,000; Brown received $75,000 for second place.
Following the 90-minute finale, host Julie Chen Moonves confirmed Big Brother has been renewed for seasons 29 and 30, marking the series' milestone of 1,000 episodes on air.
An 8% increase in ratings from last summer saw BB28 average 5.1 million multi-platform viewers, bolstered by the inclusion of three reality "icons" as surprise houseguests.
