Meta is ending WhatsApp support on older devices that don't meet security and technical requirements. Android versions below 6 will be discontinued from September 8th, and iOS versions prior to 15.5 will be discontinued from November 30th.
News 7 — Meta is ending support for some older versions of WhatsApp in an effort to raise security standards and maintain technical compatibility. With the update, devices running versions older than Android 6.0 and iPhone models below iOS 15.5 will not be able to access WhatsApp.
