Infections are also rising in North Macedonia and Greece, where several people have died from the disease. Croatia has confirmed three cases as of Monday, with one patient in intensive care.
Five people have died in North Macedonia. A Croatian patient infected with West Nile virus has been admitted to intensive care.
Cases have also been registered in Serbia and Croatia, and there have been fatalities in North Macedonia.
Three cases have been reported so far
It already has five dead and one patient needs a ventilator.
