Weekend construction across Puget Sound to cause major delays
Crews will excavate drainage crossings and replace pavement as part of the I-405 widening project, with signed detours and ramp closures also planned.
WSDOT will close Southbound I-405 between Exit 10 and Exit 6 starting at 11:30 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday, allowing Crews to complete infrastructure improvements between Renton and Bellevue.
The I-405/Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes Project involves Crews excavating drainage crossings and replacing pavement. This Work supports the new I-405 Bus Rapid Transit line between Lynnwood and Tukwila.
Signed detours will route Drivers via Coal Creek Parkway Southeast , Duvall Avenue, and SR-900/Sunset Boulevard. Travelers should anticipate Work associated with the King County Coal Creek Sewer Upgrade Project along this detour.
For those traveling into Kirkland, WSDOT will close I-405 on-ramps and off-ramps at Northeast 132nd. This closure is scheduled from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.
