Water analyses in municipalities supplied from the Odolena Voda reservoir revealed above-limit concentrations of lead. The water utility operator therefore warned residents via SMS on Thursday not to drink the water or use it for cooking until further notice. The restriction also applies to the Zahájí locality. It is not yet clear when the restriction will be lifted.
In localities supplied from the Odolena Voda reservoir, above-limit concentrations of lead in drinking water were detected and the situation is being addressed by the relevant public health protection authorities in cooperation with the water supply operator. Current information, recommendations for residents and further developments in the situation are continuously published by the Regional Health Office.

Water from the water tank in Odolena Voda cannot be used for drinking. Thursday's samples showed above-limit lead concentrations. The reservoir supplies water to Hoštice, Husinec, Klíčany, Klecany, Máslovice, Odolené Vodou, Sprížín, Řež, Sedlec, Větrušice, Vodochody and Zdiby. There is no threat to health from accidental consumption.
