A large number of votes were deleted in the district during the Special Voter Registration (SVR) exercise carried out as part of the voter list cleansing exercise. According to the 2011 voter list, there were a total of 10,17,671 votes in Vikarabad, Tandur, Parigi and Kodangal constituencies, but the SVR process was carried out and over 2.10 lakh votes were deleted.
