Vienna's Mayor and IGGÖ Warn Against "General Suspicion" of Muslims
Vienna's Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) and the chairman of the Islamic Religious Community (IGGÖ), Ümit Vural, warned at a meeting in the city hall on Tuesday against placing an entire religious community under general suspicion in the fight against extremism. "People who peacefully practice their faith must not become the target of hasty political maneuvers," they stated in a joint declaration published after the meeting.
