Venezuela Calls on the UN Not to Renew the Fact-Finding Mission and Ensures Progress in Human Rights
The representative of the interim government accused the experts Sofia Macher, Alex Neve and María Quintero of not recognizing the “progress” in human rights in the country. He proposed opting for the Universal Periodic Review, technical cooperation, dialogue and universal mechanisms instead of continuing the UN mechanism established since 2019.
