Chipmaker Visionpower Semiconductor Manufacturing is considering investing in a second semiconductor factory in Singapore, according to the company's chairman Leuh Fang. "The supply shortage will persist for a while. We would have built two factories together here," Leuh Fang told Bloomberg.
It has been reported that a joint venture of Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS), an affiliate of Taiwan's TSMC, is considering building a second semiconductor factory in Singapore.
