NEW The average interest rate for 30-year mortgages in the U.S. rose to 6.85 percent last week, reaching its highest level since June 2025.

The share of adjustable mortgages rose to 8.5 per cent of applications, while the fixed rate at 30 years reached 6.85 per cent. *** ARM mortgages accounted for 8.5 per cent of applications, compared with 8 per cent of the previous week.
