The Russian authorities said on Tuesday that Moscow was the target of an attack of 650 drones during the night, killing two people on the outskirts of the capital. Most of the aircraft "were destroyed by air defence" said the mayor of the capital.
The attack killed a 20-year-old man in a village on the outskirts of Moscow, said regional governor Andrei Vorobiev.
Some 650 drones were flown, most of which were reportedly intercepted before they could reach Moscow. A 20-year-old man died and six people were injured.
Moscow has become the target of an exceptionally large drone attack, reports TASS. According to the state news agency, involving 650 drones, it is the second-largest attack in two years. Initial reports indicate one death.
