Russian attack kills five in Ukraine's Kharkiv, shatters residences
Officials said three glide bombs hit different areas of the city, leaving 30 people hospitalized and three in critical condition.
- On Monday, Russian bombs struck residential areas of Ukraine's northeastern city of Kharkiv, killing five people and injuring 53. The city lies 30 km from the Russian border.
- Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on Telegram that three bombs struck different areas of the city. Mayor Ihor Terehov confirmed emergency crews recovered two bodies from rubble.
- Of the 53 injured, 30 are being treated in hospitals with three in serious condition. Three of the injured were children, and officials noted warehouses were also damaged.
- Resident Viktoriia Nahornyak told Reuters Television, "We saw two wounded neighbours covered in blood." The strike shattered apartment facades and balconies, forcing survivors to flee their homes.

A total of six people died in another attack by the Russian Federation and 59 others were injured, including three children.
