- President Donald Trump has begun a 32-day campaign tour in Texas and Oklahoma aimed at supporting Republican candidates before the November 2026 midterm elections, with the GOP seeking to retain its narrow congressional majorities.
- In Texas, Trump is campaigning alongside Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton, whom he previously backed in the party primary against incumbent Senator John Cornyn.
