Three injured during 'large fight' in city centre
Police said two men in their 20s were arrested after a fight involving a machete left one man with potentially serious injuries.
On Monday, armed officers arrived at Calenick Street in Truro after a "large fight" left three people injured, with Cornwall Police cordoning off the city centre area.
Responding to reports of "bladed articles," armed officers attended the scene alongside Ambulance crews, while witnesses described around 30 police officers and 12 police cars cordoning the area near Burger King.
Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, Police confirmed, as one man suffered "a potentially serious injury" while two others sustained minor injuries.
Police stated, "Those involved are believed to be known to each other and there is no wider threat to the public," reassuring residents as the cordon remained in place.
Investigating officers asked anyone with information or footage of the incident to contact them, with the inquiry ongoing as Police process evidence from the Truro city centre scene.
