At the end of last month, Anitra Cornish could see smoke coming out from behind the hill next to her home in Eureka, Utah. Once she began to see the flames of the voracious Iron Fire fire, she told her 86-year-old aunt that it was time to pack and leave. They returned home five days later, just to be evacuated again just 24 hours later. She described it as a frustrating and stressful week. “We almost lost our house the first time,” Cornish said.
