Danish director Maja el Touhy's film "Woman Unknown" (Kvinde Ukendt / Woman Unknown) had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 6, 2026. After the screening, the audience stood up and applauded the filmmakers for seven and a half minutes. Later, on September 12, the film received the festival's main award - the "Golden Lion" - and the leading actress, Matilde Arcela, won the Volpi Cup for best actress.
