The South Bohemian Region has rejected the request of the Lipno Region for Life association to establish a construction barrier at the Lipno Dam. The region does not have the necessary competences for such a step, said Governor Martin Kuba (Naše Česko) at a meeting of the South Bohemian Council. The association considers the introduction of a construction barrier to be one of the options for improving the water quality in the dam.
