- Investigators allege Bowie conducted surveillance at the Capitol on multiple occasions, sending photos to confidential sources. She expressed intent to "destroy as much of the building as possible and kill the senators while they are meeting."
- Neighbor Jared described interactions with Bowie as "chaotic," stating, "I would hear her screaming at her roommate." Bowie allegedly told a confidential source she "would have to kill the roommate quietly" if discovered.
- Senate Republican Rob Ortt called the allegations "disturbing," while State Assembly Minority Leader described the plot as "unsettling." Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie thanked law enforcement for preventing the attack.
- Bowie faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted. Attorney Greg Rinckey noted the evidence appears strong, though defense counsel might pursue an entrapment strategy.
