Condé-sur-Sarthe prison in Orne is the subject of urgent proceedings following a report denouncing "systemic" violence against detainees. On Friday, 17 July, the Administrative Court of Caen examined the interim release of prisoners submitted by the International Prison Observatory (IOP). The decision is expected in the next few days, the President said.
After the report of the General Controller of Places of Deprivation of Liberty, denouncing racist violence and insults at Condé-sur-Sarthe prison, the International Prisons Observatory takes the matter to court. The Court of Caen examines the case on Friday 17 July.
