TYRE, Lebanon (AP) — Four prisoners from Lebanon held in Israel were released and handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross Friday as part of a deal between the two countries. In return, Lebanon agreed to search for the bodies of Jewish Lebanese citizens who went missing during the country's civil war decades ago.
Beirut: Lebanon, on Friday, through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), handed over four prisoners after they had been released by Israel; a Red Cross convoy travelled to the Ra ' s Naqurah area at the border; the four detainees were taken from the Israeli side; the convoy transported the editors to the Mansuri area south of Tyre; and handed them over to the Lebanese Armed Forces.
