Sudanese medical group accuses rebel group of killing 27 people
At least 27 people, including four children, were killed in ethnic clashes in southern Sudan, according to the Sudan Doctors Network.
The rebel Sudan People's Liberation Movement carried out the killings in Qardud and Abu Hamama in South Kordofan, as reported by the Sudan Doctors Network.
Many residents fled toward Abu Hitan village and Kadugli town due to the attacks, the Sudan Doctors Network said.
The Sudan Doctors Network stated that targeting unarmed civilians on ethnic grounds violates international humanitarian law and urged the international community to pressure SPLM-N to stop attacks on civilians.
