State unemployment creeps up in July, Fayette County’s rate drops 0.2%
The Texas Workforce Commission released labor market statistics for July last week and they showed that the statewide seasonally-adjusted unemployment rose 0.1 of a percent to 4.5. Fayette County’s rate (not seasonally adjusted) decreased from 4.6 percent in June to 4.4 percent last month.
