A man is appearing in court this morning charged with attempted murder at a hotel in Stanwell being used to house asylum seekers.
It follows a report of a stabbing at The Stanwell Hotel on Saturday evening. 22 year old Abdifatah Yusuf Adani, a Somalian national, was detained at the scene. The victim, a man in his 30s who is a staff worker at the hotel, is in a stable condition and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The area’s Conservative, Lincoln Jopp, is one of those calling for the hotel to be returned to community use.
