- On Wednesday, a delegation led by actor Prakash Raj submitted a report to Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar detailing Special Intensive Revision irregularities and urging the state government to reject the "wicked and defective" process.
- The Karnataka SIR exercise began on June 30, 24 years after the last revision in 2002, with the report claiming the process dubbed "Top Ten SIR Crimes" was illegally imposed and involved deletion of over 13 crore voters.
- Investigating the ASDDO category—Absent, Shifted, Duplicate, Dead, Others—the report found it "full of errors," highlighting that Adivasi and Dalit communities faced the highest deletions, termed "wholesale immorality."
- Following these findings, The Opposition INDIA bloc announced a joint action plan on Wednesday, while activists urged a special session to discuss the "outrages SIR has committed in Karnataka" and demanded Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation.
- Urging scientific social auditing to restore wrongly deleted voters, the report also demanded a condemnation resolution against "the traitor" Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, per Statement 16.
