The Semiconductor Industry Association (SEMI) released its latest forecast on the 2nd, predicting that global spending on 12-inch wafer fab equipment will continue to climb, driven by both strong demand for artificial intelligence (AI) chips and semiconductor self-sufficiency policies in various countries.
