Salesforce to Invest $15 Billion in San Francisco to Advance AI

Salesforce plans to create new jobs and boost AI innovation with a $15 billion investment, including an AI Incubator Hub and workforce training programs, over five years.

  • Announcing a $15 billion plan, Salesforce, Inc. said the funding will support an AI Incubator Hub, workforce development, and Agentic Enterprise adoption in San Francisco over five years.
  • Ahead of Dreamforce, Salesforce said the announcement aims to accelerate AI adoption and sharpen its competitive edge against ServiceNow, Oracle and Microsoft while welcoming nearly 50,000 attendees and generating $130 million.
  • Alongside the pledge, the company announced a $100-million investment in UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and $39-million for AI education, with Trailhead upskilling more than 5 million people including 3,300 in San Francisco.
  • The pledge aims to support an AI Incubator Hub on Salesforce’s San Francisco campus and workforce development and training programs to create jobs as Dreamforce brings nearly 50,000 attendees.
  • As part of its strategy, Salesforce has promoted the 4Rs playbook and Agentforce 360, saying AI now does 30% to 50% of the company's work while support roles dropped from 9,000 to 5,000.
