REPORT: Saints Rookie Wide Receiver Jordyn Tyson Leaves Practice with Injury
The Saints said Tyson left practice with a lower-body injury, and coach Kellen Moore said the team expects a clearer update Friday.
New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Jordyn Tyson exited Thursday's joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars after sustaining an apparent leg injury and did not return.
Before joining the Saints, the 22-year-old standout played for the Arizona State Sun Devils after transferring from Colorado, where he sustained a season-ending knee injury in 2023.
Tyson walked off the field under his own power following the incident, and Saints head coach Kellen Moore confirmed the receiver suffered a lower body injury but disclosed no severity details.
Safety Terrell Burgess also departed the joint practice with a lower body injury, and Moore stated, "We'll get more information and we'll probably have a better idea tomorrow."
New Orleans hoped Tyson would immediately pair with receiver Chris Olave to form a dangerous offensive duo, but that plan remains on hold pending the rookie's status evaluation.
