Restarting the nuclear power plant from Cernavoda "depends on the debts of the Danube", said Digi24 Sorin Elisea, Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy. The level of the river would increase at the entry into the country in the next week, but the forecast remains below the flow recorded at the stop of Unit 1. The official stated that the Government is preparing a communication on the solutions analyzed for the resumption of production.
While Romania is facing a prolonged drought that has severely affected agricultural crops and water reserves, and the central Cernavoda has been stopped, the Danube is showing signs of return.
