Province commits another $1 million to work placement program

The province is investing an additional $1 million from 2026 to 2029 to expand Genome Alberta’s work placement program, expected to support around 20 one-year placements. These placements, with small-to-medium businesses, will allow recent graduates to build skills in areas such as bioinformatics, big data and business development while gaining valuable experience with Alberta employers.
