Proposed property tax rate hike of $0.01451 approved by City Council
An increase to the total property tax rate of 1.451 cents per $100 of valuation was advanced by a unanimous vote of the Schulenburg City Council at its regular meeting last week. CityAdministrator Tami Walker said that City staff recommended that the aldermen consider the voter approval rate, which reflects the highest that can be enacted without an election.
