Indec's latest report reveals that in the sixth month of the year the use of installed capacity was 59.1%, compared to 58.9% of the same month in 2025.There are sectors with important improvements, but several others still with low numbers.
The level showed a slight year-on-year improvement, although more than 40% of the machines remained idle. Oil refining led the use of productive capacity.
The official report reflects a monthly growth driven by the oil sector, steel and food production.
The installed capacity of the industry was 59.1% in June 2026, which implies a slight improvement of 0.2% compared to the same month of 2025, and 0.8% compared to May, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).
