Poland responds to the increase in Russian air strikes in Ukraine by partially closing its airspace and mobilizing its military aviation. We analyze the regional and global impact of this escalation on the eastern border of NATO.

Due to Russian attacks on neighbouring Ukraine, Poland temporarily closed two airports near the border on Wednesday. Rzeszow and Lublin were affected, the aviation authority PANSA reported.

The Government Security Center sent an alert to people in several counties in the Lublin and Podkarpackie Voivodeships. Ultimately, the military did not observe any violations of Polish airspace.
