Phoebe Bridgers Cancels Intimate Shows After Being Hospitalised with Appendicitis
Bridgers said appendicitis forced the cancellations, and the affected run included matinee and evening performances in three cities.
On Wednesday, singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers canceled her remaining UK tour dates after being diagnosed with appendicitis, announcing the news via Instagram Stories.
Bridgers fell ill shortly after celebrating her 32nd birthday on Monday, interrupting the promotional run for her third solo album, Lost Weekend, released last Friday.
Sharing a hospital photo, Bridgers wrote, "Everything in the UK this week will have to move but I'll make it up to you!!!" while Banquet Records confirmed they are "working closely with her global teams."
The canceled run included scheduled performances in Kingston, Brighton, and Bristol, following two sold-out shows at London's Union Chapel earlier this week.
Bridgers' upcoming UK arena dates remain scheduled for later this year, including stops at London's O2 Arena, Birmingham's Utilita Arena, Manchester's Co-op Live, and Glasgow's OVO Hydro as part of her Lost Tour.
