'Pawn Stars' Personality Hospitalized, Underwent Emergency Heart Surgery
Rick Harrison is resting comfortably after emergency bypass surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, his representative said.
On Friday, Pawn Stars star Rick Harrison underwent heart surgery after doctors discovered he required a bypass during a simpler planned procedure. The 61-year-old is resting comfortably and expects a full recovery.
Harrison has anchored the long-running History series Pawn Stars since its 2009 premiere, which has spanned 23 seasons. He is a prominent entrepreneur known for his work at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop.
Earlier this year, Harrison made headlines when his son, Corey, was injured in a motorcycle crash and launched a GoFundMe for medical expenses. Additionally, he married Agripina "Angie" Polushkin in January at a ceremony in Las Vegas.
Representatives told Fox News the condition was "worse than expected," though Harrison remains grateful for the hospital staff and family support. It is unclear when the entrepreneur will be discharged from the medical facility.
Harrison, an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump, has not updated his Instagram profile since August 28. Fans and colleagues await further updates on his status as he focuses on recovery.
