Norris Extends McLaren Stay Until at Least 2030
On Saturday, reigning Formula 1 world champion Lando Norris announced a contract extension with McLaren, committing to the team until at least 2030.
Norris attributes his loyalty to relationships with chief executive officer Zak Brown and team principal Andrea Stella, calling the decision "quite the easiest decision I've had to make in my career so far."
As part of the deal, Norris received one of the MCL39 cars used to secure his 2025 title, while dismissing media salary speculation as "not close to the figures that I've been seeing online."
Team principal Andrea Stella highlighted the importance of continuity with Norris and Oscar Piastri following consecutive constructors' championships in 2024 and 2025.
Following market trends where Red Bull's Max Verstappen committed through 2030 last week, Norris's deal secures long-term stability as he aims to continue winning championships at McLaren.
