Scientists in South Moravia have discovered two species of spiders that have never been recorded in the Czech Republic before. While monitoring wetlands, they found the jumping spider Attulus inexpectus in the Trkmanec–Rybníčky salt marsh near Rakvice in the Břeclav region. They discovered the rare orb weaver Crustulina sticta in Kostelisky near Dubňany in the Hodonín region.
