No break-in period with Wild for Blake Coleman
Coleman, 34, has two goals and an assist in his first five games and has already locked into Minnesota’s top line, coach John Hynes said.
New Wild forward Blake Coleman scored in his debut, immediately securing a spot as a winger on the team's top line and demonstrating the versatility expected of him.
Wild coach John Hynes praised Coleman's consistency, noting his Stanley Cup rings from the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021 demonstrate championship experience and intelligent play.
Coleman, who spent five seasons in Calgary, Canada, finds the Twin Cities offer more anonymity. He noted, "I'm starting to get some stuff around town," appreciating Minnesota's passionate fan base.
Minnesota remains without Nick Foligno and Marcus Foligno due to injuries. Nick has missed multiple games with an upper body issue, while Marcus is out with what Hynes called a "mid" body injury.
Defenseman Zach Bogosian returned to practice and was expected in the lineup on Monday against Vegas, following his absence during the team's 4-1 win in Florida on Saturday.
