Nine Australians die of breast cancer every day. So why do we underestimate the disease?

The survey found 64% underestimated annual diagnoses and 51% underestimated daily deaths, highlighting a gap between perception and breast cancer reality.

A new survey, funded by the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) as part of their Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, Unfinished Stories, has revealed that, as in Adair’s case, there is a disconnect between public perception and the reality of breast cancer today.
